Forever Once Again I See
Holding love once, or so I thought..."Tis forever," two hearts had met.
Losing love once, my emotion caught...
Like the end of a beautiful sunset.
Darkness falls upon the heart...
Pain and sadness overwhelm.
To know end, should never've start...
Like the fire without fuel dims.
A simple life I swear to me...
Not to risk, or ever care.
Keeping my heart forever free...
Only with me, will I share.
Then without asking, you appear...
Innocent talk we passed the days.
Neither wanting to shed a tear...
We had learned from previous ways.
I knew it first, then followed you...
Love had formed in spite of need.
Should I risk being a fool...
And learn not from past, no lesson heed?
Time brings thoughts of dusty tears...
Trying to remember why "never" I swore.
Trust healed my rusty fears...
To try anew and believe once more.
Chasing prisms, in the night...
Feeling your love surrounding me.
Finding happiness, in faceted light...
"Forever" I am able, to once again see.
