Tis Rough Seas...
"Tis rough seas capt," I looked into his eyes...
"We really must turn back sir, or surely we will die."
Officer Experience had expressed to me with hope...
In order to save the precious boat.

"Capt, we must turn back, to a safe port,"
Officer Denial...gave his stiff report.
"Sir the ship is rocking in all of the rough sea,"
This time it was Mate Hope, trying to plead with me.

"Sir, here is your coffee, may it help you through the night."
Young Seaman Faith, did understand our deep plight.
And as I sipped it slowly, as the mighty ship did pound...
It was he who inspired me, to listen to gut feelings that abound.

But a commander on a mission, I could not get myself to turn...
The crew of battleship "Scars" would have to someday learn.
You can always run from elements, especially a rough sea...
But to run from true love, is not truly being free.

So the ship rode roughly, in waters that splashed high...
In endless hours....all through the day and night.
But suddenly a peaceful sorenity, was all that was felt,
Knowing we had played out the hand that was dealt.

A deep blue sky above,  with radiant white clouds...
Seemed to hide the past, in a passioned shroud.
And as I assembled the crew, who stood by me...
I shook the hand of the Seaman, of all who could see.

Sometimes you must start fresh, and leave your fears aground..
Once you feel it...you must never turn around.
Too easy to turn back, too easy to ignore...
And lie in safe port, avoid rough seas once more.

The ship was my past, the crew was my fear...
And I was the captain, of my heart so dear.
I plunged through past, to find you so rare...
Calm seas now surround me, I know that you care.
