Like the sands of an hour glass...
Spilling down with time,
I live today, leaving my past...
Wondering what my history will find.

Chasing the memories of love we hold...
Reliving the moments, of passion intense,
Wrapping in your warmth hidden from cold...
Through you my life has made total sense.

I may not leave a mark on the memory...
Of those that did not know me as others have done,
But I will leave being ever so free....
To know your love, the ulitmate prize won.

The Most Wonderful Memory
And when I sit in the rocking chair...
Thinking back, should I dare?
I wonder just what my thoughts will be..
What will flash, what thoughts will I see?
Will I remember the beauty God shared?
Will I remember those who cared?
The camping trips, I dearly like?
Or the solitude of a mountain hike?
The ocean waves pounding on shore?
The golden leaves of fall once more?
The snow in Chicago on winter days?
An eclipse hiding the brilliant sun rays?
An eagle soaring in the Northwest?
Children's laughter is among the best...
So many memories to carry with me...
So many in my mind that I see...
Of all that I am sure, I am sure of one...
The memory of you and all you have done.
The sparkle in your eyes, as they meet mine...
Such wonderful memories to take forth in time.
The love you have shared and given me...
Will always be         The Most Wonderful Memory
