Angel Tears
Angel tears stream down halo shaded faces...
Knowing that they have failed their task...
Was it the miles between love's places?
Should God's help, they have sooner asked?

Two people, were once as one...
Working together to share their lives...
Two people now parted, have become...
Heart's knots unraveled, from previous ties.

And the angels wonder where they missed...
In what they created, what went wrong?
How did they fail, what went amiss?
What music played to the wrong song?

He removes her pictures from the walls...
And the things she has given him...
As his memory does recall...
The brightest of love, before it turned dim.

The angels discuss what they must do...
To make things right as best as can be...
And they hear his voice shout out, "Begin anew...
Watch over her, don't worry about me!"

As he went to bed that night...
He said a little prayer for her out loud...
"Lord, please make sure she is all right,
Don't worry about my little clouds."

And the angels scrambled to her side...
Knowing he loved her enough to let go...
Examining the truths and the lies...
To learn why their love failed to grow.

(Angels are funny in their means...)
(They sometimes miss the heart that screams)
(Not their fault, like it seems)
(Too many loves they have to redeem)
