Something Magical

There is something magical about a friend,
I would like to share those thoughts with you.
Does not matter if woman or man,
Or if they are old friends or very new.

The magic is a feeling you get inside,
From sharing lives together as time does pass.
The warmth and trust that always abides,
Knowing this friendship will forever last.

An acquaintance is different from a friend,
They come and go as the days fly by.
But a friend is with you till the end,
Not matter what obstacles ahead do lie.

So please understand how special you are,
When I call you my friend it means a lot to me.
Whether you are near or very far,
Our friendship is magical as it should be.
